When and where do teams train?

Training schedules vary by age group. You will be contacted by your team’s coach once you register. All training takes place on our grounds in Woodlands.
What leagues do your teams play in?

Our teams compete in the Dublin District Schoolboys/girls League (DDSL), Wicklow District Football League (WDFL), and Leinster Senior League (LSL). We also have two girls teams playing in the League of Ireland through our partnership with Bray Wanderers.
How can I get involved as a volunteer?

We are always looking for volunteers to help. Please contact us at administration@guafc.ie to learn more.

Washing muddy kits, tying laces, offering encouragement after tough matches and celebrating every goal like it’s the winner. Your support, patience and love keep the game going for so many of our players. Today we say thank you to every mum, grandmother and mother figure who is part of our club. The Greystones To Go Cups Have Landed! ♻️☕ Our reusable Greystones To Go cups have finally arrived at the clubhouse and are ready to go. Here’s how it works: ▪️A €2 rental will be added to the price of your hot drink ▪️When you return the cup, you get your €2 back It’s a simple way to cut down on single-use waste while grabbing your coffee. Even better, a number of clubs and coffee shops around Greystones are taking part in the scheme. By working together on climate action initiatives like this, it also strengthens the town’s commitment to sustainability and positive environmental action. We can’t wait to see all our players, coaches and families representing Greystones United AFC on the day! 📍 Parade Number: 48 📍 Zone: I (Park & Ride Assembly Area) 🕙 Meeting Time: All participants are asked to meet at the clubhouse at 10am. From there we will walk down together to our assembly point for 10:30am. 🚗 Drop-Off & Parking Information: Please note that drop-off vehicles are not permitted to park in the Municipal Park & Ride Car Park or the South Beach Car Park. Vehicles exiting the drop-off zone are asked to turn left when leaving to avoid delays for incoming traffic. Our U15.2s earned a hard fought 1–1 draw away to league leaders @arthur_griffith_park today. A great performance from the lads and a result to be proud of. ⚽👏

Our U13.1s enjoyed the sunshine today with a great match against @greenhillsboysafc ⚽️💚

A really hard fought home win for our U13.4s against Hartstown Huntstown FC today. Great determination and teamwork from the lads to get the result. Well done lads and coaches. ⚽👏

A good day for our U11.8s up in Wayside Celtic. 💪🏻⚽️

Our U8.3s were in sunny Malahide today for four great games. Fantastic effort from all the players, with loads of energy, teamwork and great football on show. A brilliant morning for it. Well done everyone! ☀️⚽👏

Our U8s had some great matches today against @leixlipunited1969 .

Hard fought battle for our U11D today at home against a strong Dalkey side. The lads showed great resilience throughout and kept their spirits up right to the final whistle 💪🏻⚽️

The FAI Primary School 5s took place in Woodlands on Thursday and Friday, and what a fantastic turnout on both days! ⚽️ A huge thank you to our Head of Football, Sean Keane, for running the qualifiers and to everyone who helped make the two days such a success. On Thursday, we were delighted to have great support from BIFE students Nevin, Andrew, Jason, Kayla and Andy. Their help throughout the day was hugely appreciated. On Friday, we were again lucky to have fantastic help from BIFE students Patrick, Bogdan, Keira, Dara, Michael and Dylan. A special shoutout as well to SETU Carlow student Ben Lawler for also lending a hand. A massive well done to all the schools who took part. It was a great two days of football. ⚽️ @bifesoccer @setucarlowfc

This Sunday there will be a charity football match taking place in Woodlands. The main match will see Content Creators take on The Lynch Family in what promises to be a great bit of fun, all in aid of a fantastic cause, with proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society. 🗓 Sunday, 8th March ⏰ 5.30pm 🎟 Tickets: link in bio (Tickets will also be available on the gate) If you’re around on Sunday evening, drop down to the club and support a great cause. On Saturday, the U8 girls had the incredible experience of being mascots for the U17 squad’s first home match. It was such a special day for them. Walking out with the older players, feeling the buzz around the pitch, and seeing firsthand the pathway that’s there for them at our club. Huge congratulations to Roxy from our U13 A Girls who represented the DDSL in the Emerging Talent Programme in a friendly in Abbotstown on Monday night against the North East Regional League. It was especially great to see Roxy back out on the pitch and playing so well after a recent injury. A brilliant achievement and so well deserved. Everyone at the club is so proud of you Roxy 💪🏻⚽️

The U12 Girls were training last night as they prepare for their Cup game against Peamount United this weekend. ⚽️ Best of luck to the squad and coaches. 👏🏻

Our brand new @eastern_wfl team is back training on Thursday as we prepare for the upcoming Eastern Women’s Football League season. We’re holding an open training session on Thursday, 26th February from 8.15–9.15pm at our home grounds in Woodlands. Players will train and play in League of Ireland standard facilities, offering a professional environment that supports high performance football. The squad will also be part of a potential pathway to the Women’s League of Ireland U23s Development League. Training will run every Tuesday and Thursday going forward. The U13G Major team made the trip west over the weekend to take on @knocknacarrafc in Galway ⚽ A brilliant game followed by a really fun evening of team building for the girls and their mums/guardians at Pure Skill. Last night we welcomed Lar Mahony to the club for another brilliant coaching education session with our coaches ⚽️ This was the second of five sessions with Lar and the feedback has been so positive already. It is a great opportunity for our coaches to learn, challenge themselves and bring new ideas back to their teams. We are really looking forward to the next one as we continue to develop and keep pushing the club forward 💪🏻

On Sunday, our U9 and U10 girls had the amazing experience of being mascots for our Women’s Development squad’s first-ever match! It was such a special day for the girls, seeing the pathway our club offers, enjoying the fantastic atmosphere, and being part of an exciting clash against a strong Wexford squad. We’re delighted to welcome Steven Gough as our new Director of Boys Football ⚽ Steven enjoyed a long League of Ireland career with Bray Wanderers, Shamrock Rovers and Longford Town, bringing a wealth of experience from the professional game. He also founded and developed a grassroots club in the Middle East that grew into a professional club. 👏🏻 We’re thrilled to have someone with Steven’s knowledge and vision joining the board. He has already begun rolling out new initiatives, with exciting developments that players and coaches across all ages and levels will see over the coming months ⚽️💪🏻

At today’s camp, we held the UEFA Cup Competitions with 12 teams of 8–12 year old boys and girls. The teams battled it out, with plenty of super goals on show! 🌟⚽️ The competition was divided into: 🏆 Champions League 🥈 Europa League 🥉 Conference League Amazing effort from all the players, what a fun day of football! 👏🏻

In 2022, Greystones United AFC joined forces with @braywanderersfc for the Women’s League of Ireland - a partnership that has strengthened our commitment to providing elite opportunities for girls and young women in football. Through this pathway, 2️⃣6️⃣ of our players have progressed from grassroots with GUAFC to Bray Wanderers - including two this year, Emily & Poppy 👏🏻⚽ That is a remarkable number and a real credit to the work being done across all age groups. Together with Bray Wanderers, we’re building a true Elite LOI environment for players across Wicklow and South Dublin - supporting every step of their journey from the local pitch to the national league. The pathway is clear. The future is bright. 💚🤍

This year, two of our players, Emily & Poppy, have been selected to play for the @braywanderersfc U17 Women’s League of Ireland squad for the 2026 season! ⚽💪🏻 Both girls have shown incredible dedication, having played at the club for many years, and their focus and hard work have truly paid off. We wish Emily & Poppy the very best for the season ahead. 👏🏻

The U15 Major 1 Girls were proudly wearing their brand new jerseys over the weekend, kindly sponsored by CRS Contracts. The girls looked sharp and full of confidence from the first whistle, and they backed it up with a brilliant 2–0 win over Malahide United.
